Cloud Data Support Engineer

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable and high-performing datasets, pipelines, and processes in GCP.
  • Applying IT Service Operations practices including incident management, problem resolution, change management, and service monitoring.
  • Collaborating with Data Engineering, Automation, and DevOps teams to support data ingestion, processing, and analytics workflows.
  • Configuring and administering secure, efficient data access for analytics and application use cases.
  • Implementing data governance and security policies (encryption, access control, IAM policies, metadata management, etc.).
  • Monitoring and optimizing platform performance, capacity, and security, ensuring high availability and customer satisfaction.
  • Conducting non-functional testing for infrastructure, applications, and datasets.
  • Participating in an on-call roster and handling change implementations outside business hours, including weekends.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Three or more years of experience in IT Service Management, Cloud Operations, or Data Engineering with strong proficiency in GCP.
  • Hands-on experience with GCP services such as Dataflow, Dataform, Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow), and BigQuery.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using SQL, Python, and Bash.
  • Ability to analyze and extract insights from large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
  • Solid understanding of data governance frameworks and security best practices.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex data and platform issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
