Senior Financial Accountant
A globally listed organisation is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join their growing team. This is a newly created role working closely with the Finance Manager and Financial Controller and working within an established team. This is a 6-month contract opportunity to join a company that has been on a significant growth curve over the past few years.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Monitor financial activities and report variances.
- Prepare financial reports, including annual financial reports.
- Ensure timely regular monthly reporting.
- Maintain responsibility for meeting all statutory obligations.
- Bank reconciliations and monthly Business Activity Statements.
- Assist with Develop, implement, and monitor appropriate financial systems, procedures and internal controls to support the efficient operation of the finance function.
- Assist with the financial accounting.
- Assist with audit preparation.
- Provide analysis / performance insights that aid growth, ensure appropriate resource allocation and or deliver cost efficiencies.
- Provide regular commentary around variance to budgets and forecasts.
- Hold accountability for the improvement of management reporting and processes.
To be considered this role you must be CA/CPA or equivalent qualified with 1-2 years' post qualification experience (Big 4 background would be highly advantageous). You must also have strong commercial, accounting and financial management experience including month-end reporting. Stakeholder management skills and experience are also essential.
